Christ brings to us what we do earnestly need
And what we do earnestly need is salvation from ourselves
What our depraved hearts longed for was offered to us on the crossing of two woods
So we celebrate this birthing of what is a relief from our humaness
This is the significance of Christmas
That then this one who was Lord at birth may be the very center of our lives
As the wise men sought to see this new born King, may we be wise as well in seeking him the rest of our lives.
Christ’s birth is the answer to the innermost cries of our heart.
Know this then!
Be reminded of the reason we sing JOY TO THE WORLD.
